Celebrating Red Ribbon Week...!

To celebrate Red Ribbon Week, our meeting was focused around RED!

They all wore red to the meeting...!

A Police Officer from Shafter came and gave the girls an educational session on drugs. He was really good with the girls and spoke more on their level.

I gave each of the girls a pledge card to fill in their names if they wanted to promise to keep off of drugs.

All of them did...! What's more was the officer said 9 out of 10 times he arrests someone, it's alcohol or drug related.

Afterwards, the girls headed outside to get a red balloon. Their pledges were tied to the balloon. They let them go. I told them that all those red balloons are all of them. They are the leaders and they will make that impact in the world...!

I think these girls are going to make an enormous impact on our community...!
