TASK – Keep track of how much money you use over the weekend. How much do you spend on eating out? On treats or toys?

If you get an allowance, is it enough for all these things? If you don’t, how much allowance would you need?

Think of a way that you could save some part of your real or imaginary allowance.

TASK 1 – How much money does it take a family to live today? With the help of your family, write down all the types of expenses you can think of, including rent or mortgage payments, taxes, electricity, cable, entertainment, and gifts. How much would you need to earn to pay these bills?

TASK 2 – How much is a dollar worth? That depends on where you are in the world. Pick two countries and, with the help of an adult, find out what the exchange rate is for an American dollar.

TASK 2 – Select a country you’d like to visit. Find out what the exchange rate is for an American dollar, and how, when, and where to exchange money into foreign currency.

TASK 3 – Make a list of summer jobs available to you. Pick 3 and compare your take-home pay and what other jobs it could lead to in the future.
